The Planning Commission has accepted the civic responsibility of helping residents, businesses, and property owners articulate and achieve a vision for how they want their community to look and function in the future. The planning commission is the primary entity responsible for long term, comprehensive planning, having the ability to put some foresight into planning and development decisions.

The Planning Commission is empowered to recommend approval for certain use of premises under the provisions of the Ordinance, the applicant shall furnish such surveys, plans or other information that is required by said Commission for the proper consideration of the matter. The Planning Commission shall investigate the circumstances of each such case and notify such parties, who may in its opinion be affected thereby, as required under its rules of procedure.
